Hello!
Register here for Quixote's 2011!
Have you signed up on this website before? You would only have done so if you camped with us last year.... If so, sign in using the form on the left, and then follow the instructions.
First time here? Follow these steps below...
  1. Read the Tao of QCCB!
  2. Complete the form below
  3. We'll send you an email with your temporary password once you've completed this registration page. Make sure you enter your email address correctly.
  4. Click on the link in the email you get. This contains a temporary password. You only have 24 hours to use it! This activates your registration
  5. Set your password. You can also fine tune your profile, for example - upload a face photo, so others know how gorgeous you are
Please fill in all the info below, where you can. Some of it is required - some of it's optional, as - for example - you may not know yet when you're arriving in Reno.
Spaces are allowed; punctuation is not allowed except for periods, hyphens, and underscores.
A valid e-mail address. All e-mails from the system will be sent to this address. The e-mail address is not made public and will only be used if you wish to receive a new password or wish to receive certain news or notifications by e-mail.
Please re-type your e-mail address to confirm it is accurate.
All about YOU!
Please give a couple of sentences introducing yourself to the group. Some of us might be lucky enough to know you already, but others won't. Note: this is all about YOU, not about the SKILLS you have that will benefit QCCB.
Are you travelling to Burning Man with others? List them here! Were you introduced to Quixotes' by a previous camp mate? Say whom! (Well - unless no one liked them...) (Not that this has ever happened!)
Quixote's is very much a camp for people who want to get involved. Tell everyone a little about what you're good at... and what will be useful on the playa. Are you good in the kitchen? Do you wield power-tools in a particularly dexterous fashion? Do you have an unfulfilled ambition to sweep out evaporation ponds? Tell us what you can contribute to QCCB.
Note: we're a camp of roadies, not performers... although we build a cabaret theatre, actually performing on our stage is not a valid contribution to the camp! However - helping run the cabaret is! So - busty barmaids, competent lighting/sound technicians, that kind of thing... :)
What's your mobile number?
Do you have a mobile phone in the USA? It's a useful thing for us to have your number, for when we're on the ground in Reno and are trying to co-ordinate our preparation activities.
Dietary Preferences
If you're fickle about food, or gherkins make you green about the gills, let us know here.
We offer both meat and vegetarian dishes for dinner. If you would prefer vegetarian, then check this box
Are you allergic to anything? Do you have any other dietary restrictions?
Please note - we can't cater for everyone's dietary preferences, but we will try - eg. if someone is allergic to wheat, we will make sure there is no flour in dishes, and offer alternatives to pasta.
The dates you're moving around...
What dates are you moving around?
We need people on the ground in Reno in the few days before Burning Man starts, to help us prepare for going to the Playa. There is quite a bit to be done - shopping, unloading stuff from storage, sorting through this, as well as a little bit of getting in the mood and partying!
Remember, Burning Man officially starts on Monday 30th August ... we'd like people in Reno to help with preparation from the Wednesday before hand... (25th August)
We then need people on the Playa before the official start, to help build camp.
We then need people to remain on the Playa until the final day (Monday 6th Sept) to help us strike camp.
And then, finally, we need people on the ground in Reno once again on that Monday, and possibly Tuesday 7th, to help put things back into storage and such things.

This calendar displays the important dates to bear in mind for this year's Burning Man.
Format: 19/05/2012
Format: 19/05/2012
We are hoping to get some early entry passes. If you'd like to be on the early entry team, then put Saturday 27th August as your date here. If you know you'll be arriving later in the week, then obviously put that date here, so we know when to expect you.
NB: We can't guarantee early entry, as we don't know how many passes - if any - we will get.
Format: 19/05/2012
When are you leaving the Playa? Burning Man runs until the 6th September. We need people to help strike camp on the final sunday (5th September)
Kitchen Duties
Everyone has to do one shift cooking, and one shift cleaning and washing up in the kitchen while on the playa.
Choose your selected days here... Note this will be handled on a first come, first served basis!
Oh - and don't worry, you won't be on your own! There's 4 or 5 people on each shift.
More important info here: DO NOT CHOOSE THE SAME DAY FOR COOKING AND CLEANING!!!
Camp Bicycles
Bikes are a great way of getting around the Playa, as it's a couple of miles across. Quixote's have a number of bicycles, which are available for camp members. However there is an additional charge associated, which covers the cost of maintaining the bikes, storing them throughout the year, transporting them to and from the Playa, providing locks for the bikes, and spares such as inner tubes.
There is a cost involved in hiring a bike, which covers the storage of bikes throughout the year, maintenance and repairs, and the cost of transporting the bike out to the playa. We're not sure how much this will be yet this year - someone needs to do some sums.
If you are interested in hiring a QCCB bike, check this box.
Bikes are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Checking this box now does not obligate you to sign up for a bike, nor does it guarantee you the use of one.
Camp logistics
To help us with planning the camp layout, we need to know a few things, all of which should be self explanatory below.
If you don't know this yet, don't worry - you can come back and edit it later.
We need to know whether you're bringing a tent or not, so we can plan the camp layout. Let us know how big it is, too. :) Important: If you're sharing a tent with someone, make sure you only list the tent ONCE - ie. if they have listed the tent on THEIR profile, you should not list it here too! :D
We need to know how many cars are going to be littering the camp. Again, if you are sharing a car with 17 other people, make sure it's only listed under ONE person's profile, not all 17 times. :)
Are you coming in your own little piece of trailer-trash heaven? If you are bringing a motor home/winnebago/Recreational Vehicle/etc, we need to know.
Once more - you should have the hang of this by now - if you are sharing this with other people (as we certainly hope you would be!) then it must only be listed ONCE!
Small Print
Everyone who signs up for QCCB must read our guide. Think of this as being a little like "Terms and Conditions" that you have to agree to.
Why are we doing this?
We want to ensure that everyone is on the same page, and understands what kind of a camp QCCB is. We don't want you to end up joining a camp that you won't enjoy being part of, so we figured the best way to avoid this was to be up-front about it!
So, before you can go any further, please make sure you've read the Tao. We tried to make it as light hearted and entertaining - while still being relevent and choc-full of stuff you need to know!
We run a bar - which has legal connotations in the USA!
We also don't allow minors to join QCCB.
Please indicate your age here.

We only want humans joining our camp, not automated spam robots. Please prove you are the former, not the latter. Unless you ARE actually a robot, and are willing to do ALL the cooking and washing up, every day.
